Molluscum

Molluscum contagiosum is a common viral skin infection that usually affects young children and young adults.

It causes bumps of the skin that can become very irritated.  As the name implies, it is very contagious and is easily spread to other areas of the skin and to other people. It is often misdiagnosed as other skin diseases such as warts.

Treatment can be painless and complete.

It is important to seek the care of a dermatologist so that the right diagnosis and treatment is given to prevent further spread of the disease.
